The Life Changing Terrorist Attack

9/11 changed history forever. During this time two planes crashed into the Twin Towers in New York City, New York. 2,819 people died as a result of this horrific attack. My mom is going to tell me a little bit about this event.

Question: Where were you when this happened?

Answer: "In the family room in my pink pajamas playing with you and Sophie."

Question: What were your thoughts during this?

Answer: "I was very scared. I wanted my husnand to come home from work right that second."

Question: How many items did you save regarding 9/11?

Answer: "One newspaper, pictures of the TV, and a People magazine."

Question: Approximately how long did the news have this on?

Answer: "A very long time. About everyday for a month because they kept bringing things up that they found out."

Question: Do you know the name of anyone in New York City when this event happened?

Answer: "Someone that my husband worked with was right down the street when the attack took place.

Question: Did this changed your life at all?

Answer: "Yes, I think of it every time I got on a plane. I also know you really aren't safe anywhere. The day my husband came home from work early we saw Air Force 1 fly over out of our bedroom window. We knew it was Air Force 1 because everyone had to land the planes over the United States for safety reasons."

Question: Explain your emotions during this?

Answer: "Very Scared and I wanted more information. I could not figure out why this had happened."

Question: How long did people express their emotions?

Answer: "People still express their emotions."

Question: Had terrorists attacked before?

Answer: "Terrorists had not attacked the U.S. before."

Question: What part of the Twin Towers is still there today?

Answer: "There is nothing left or in other words ground zero."

Question: Do you still remember that time every 9/11 now?

Answer: "Yes"

Question: Do you apperciate that people still remember this?

Answer: "Yes. I think that it is an important date to remember because of all the innocent people that died."

Question: Do you think that they made a bigger deal out of it than they needed to?

Answer: "No, not at all! They should have made the biggest deal out of it as they needed to."

Question: Do you think some people over reacted?

Answer: "No. People should have reacted to their fullest."

Question: Do you apperciate that they shine up lights in memury every 9/?

Answer: "Yes. I think it is a great idea because then people know exactly where it is."

9/11 was such a bad attack. I hope everyone will remember it forever. I learned a lot of information to take away from this about 9/11. I know I will always remember this horrible terrorist attack even though I was to small to understand the impact it would have on us for the rest of our lives.
