Question 1: How were you feeling about the surgery?
Answer: I was nervous like any 9 year old.
Question 2: What was the scariest part of surgery?
Answer: To wake up finding tubes in my stomach.
Question 3: How did your siblings react when they saw you?
Answer 3: I don't know. They weren't allowed for safety reasons.
Question 4: What was the worst part of being in the hospital?
Answer 4: Not being able to get out of bed. I had to go to the restroom in a pan.
Question 5: How long were you in the hospital?
Answer: 2 weeks. Not getting up for 2 weeks is very hard.
Question 6: When you went home, what was it like?
Answer: It was difficult but got easier as I walked around.
Question 7: When you went to school, was it like?
Answer: It was very hard. I had a lot of homework.
Question 8: Did anyone tease you or fell sorry for you?
Answer: People felt sorry for a little while, and no one made fun of me.
Question 9: Do you want to add anything else?
Answer: I think I grew up quicker then any other 9 year old.
