Are you alive? Of course you are. Or else you would not be reading this. Life and death are both very important. They are both the main events of our life cycle. Both are just natural occurrences that always happen.
Once you enter the world from birth you experience many different events. You start as a baby, then go to school and meet new friends. You can do many activities with friends like playing kickball in a dusty field with the sun blazing. Or you could go exploring in a nearby wood crawling under branches and jumping on stepping stones under the shady leaves. You can also enroll in sports and sport teams. Such as soccer, football, baseball, basketball, hockey, and much others. After you graduate school you can get a job and make an independent living without parents affecting you.
Death happens when you become to old of age, have some kind of disease, or death by serious injury. When you die yo will be buried in an old, lonely, depressing cemetery surrounded by other graves. Does that give you happy thoughts? Shortly after your death people will go to a funeral mourning over your death and celebrating your life. Family members, friends, and loved ones will mostly be going to the funeral. In the end they will all go home probably crying.
So basically you can not avoid life or death. You enjoy your life while you can and have a great time doing it hopefully. I hope this speech has helped you understand more about life and death.

A Bird in the Sky
The earth is round
My life is bound
Forever to the ground
I envy the birds
Who fly in great herds
As they look down on us from above
The pigeons take flight
With great speed and might
Spying on us from incredible height
The hawks gracefully glide
With the speed of a tide
As they were on an air slide
The eagles fly up in the air
With wing strokes ever so fair
As they all just look down and stare
In the sky the crows soar
As they are followed by many more
Until they seem to be charging to war
So I ask, why cant i fly
The answer is simple
For I have no wings
My life is bound
Forever to the ground
I envy the birds
Who fly in great herds
As they look down on us from above
The pigeons take flight
With great speed and might
Spying on us from incredible height
The hawks gracefully glide
With the speed of a tide
As they were on an air slide
The eagles fly up in the air
With wing strokes ever so fair
As they all just look down and stare
In the sky the crows soar
As they are followed by many more
Until they seem to be charging to war
So I ask, why cant i fly
The answer is simple
For I have no wings

One way ticket to farm and one way ticket back.
It was a smoggy morning. The clouds seemed to float by us if a giant hand was tranquility pushing them. It seemed like a boring day. It wasn't though because I was off to my cousins farm. I was only in second grade. We all loaded our packages in the car and headed out on the road at 11:00 am. I was really excited. I heard about my cousins and really wanted to go there. The thing is I didn't even care to meet them; all i wanted to do was explore the farm. According to my parents they had a pool, a clubhouse, and a go cart track. I especially wanted to go on the go carts. I was jumping on my seat the whole way there, repeatedly asking, are we there yet. We arrived there at dawn. We burst out of the car and the view was amazing. There was a wide lush, green grass, plain and a dark wooden house with glossy round shaped windows. The air was cool and the fresh sun looked like a blazing silver reflection of a bright lemon.
We walked up to the wooden house and before we could even knock the doors opened up, and my aunt invited in to eat lunch with them. The whole time during lunch I kept asking when we could go outside, because it just kept bugging me in my mind. Finally lunch ended and my uncle invited us to see the clubhouse. It was a white brick building and surprisingly it was two stories tall. The first floor looked like an actual place you could live on. there was a sink, a stove, cabinets, and a big fluffy couch and two cushioned chairs. the second floor was just probably meant for a bedroom and an office. There was a red velvet bed and a computer. There was also a miniature television. I left quickly though, mostly because there was nothing to do there. Besides I wanted to see the rest of the farm.
use, I saw a dark green tractor. I ran up close to the tractor and my uncle shouted something "Careful!" I waited for him to catch up and he offered to show me how the tractor worked. He first climbed up the steep steps. I followed. There were lots of levers and buttons. "This one plows the corn," my uncle pointed to a dark lever. He showed me the rest of what the basics worked for the tractor but i again quickly became bored. The sun was sinking in the sky and we all headed back to the house.
That night, we all grilled out. We had tender stake, juicy hamburgers, and bright yellow corn on the cob. My aunt made scrumptious deserts like apple pie, and chocolate and vanilla ice cream. After the sun went down, I drifted off to sleep, on a mattress that my cousins set up for me in the basement.
The next morning, the sun was bright and the sky was deep blue. We all sat on the porch and had breakfast of french toast, eggs, and bacon. I was feeling really peaceful and relaxed. "Want to take a spin on the go carts?" i turned around and saw my uncle grinning. My instant reaction was yes. He led me to the sandy go cart track while everyone else stayed back on the porch. The go cart was dark blue and had dark black wheels. I excitedly hopped in and noticed one problem, "How does this work?"
I asked. “Well you use the steering wheel to maneuver, the left pedal to go, and the right to stop”, my uncle said. Like this, I said, and took off. At first I wasn’t even on the track, I was pulling and twisting the steering wheel, trying to get control. The field was rough and bumpy. I made a sharp left turn and hit a huge bump. The go-cart flipped over, smashing me to the ground. I was feeling dazed when something spinning landed on my arm. My arm started burning, it felt scorched and I let out a loud shriek of pain. I looked at my arm and it was swelling quickly, turning a dark shade of purple in minutes. I felt hands pick me up but I was too hurt and confused to speak. I was laid on a couch and a cold ice pack was put on my arm.
I must have fallen asleep quickly, as the next thing I knew I was waking up, and the sun was shining brightly in my eyes. “Good Morning”, I looked around and saw my mom sitting next to me. She had a glass of water in her hands. She offered it to me and I drank thankfully. She left me briefly and I rested and watched TV. the rest of the day. I looked at my arm, the swelling died down a little bit, but it was still pretty big. The whole day my meals were served and everything was done for me. I was able to move my arm on the third day, which was the day that I was leaving to go home. We said our farewells, and left. Even though I was in a lot of pain at the time, I couldn't’t wait to come back and visit the farm again!

Nuclear Weapons, Safety or Threat?
America has many nuclear weapons. That can be good and bad. We have won (at least as far as I know) one war with nuclear weapons. But that's not saying someone else will get the idea of doing that to other countries and it could turn to nuclear war! Most likely we are going to be targeted first because we would be a threat to the person/army if we went up against them. Everyone knows the strongest or most powerful are targeted and/or hated the most (if they have bad intentions). For example it's possible that some guy from another county might want to be the strongest and for him to be the strongest you have to take out the most powerful. I think that we have too many nuclear weapons, but that's just me.
A smart move for America might be too get of some nuclear weapons. We don't know if some countries form an army against us because they fear were going to blow them up. We also have a few nukes and atam bombs but that is way to many! Nukes can cause devastating effects on the landscape. And I'm talking about more then just a few miles I'm talking HUGE amounts. Same goes with atam bombs. Its also not the best idea to have to many explosives. Because its possible that a enemy country targeted a nuclear storage and then the neighboring states would not have a pretty future.
However, some people think its a good idea to have a ridiculous amount of explosives. If something ever happened like world war 3 then we would have the upper hand. Even though if it was nuclear war then no one would really have the upper hand because of the nuclear devastation. If other large countries used nuclear weapons often then the world would be thrown into chaos! Also many countries may leave us alone because they know were the most powerful and don't want to get on our bad side. Like when some other country bombed us we sent an even bigger bomb to them and they went kaboom! They may also be suspicious of us. Maybe curious what were doing with all the bombs. They could be curious we have a reason for all of it.
So even though having nuclear weapons can be good, we don't want too many. Because you will never know when they will backfire! Literally.

A Marathon of Rain
There was pounding rain and flooded houses and streets.
The New Jeresey flood had devastating stress on many people.
Only when the water went down did families go outside.
How old were you when the flood happened?
6 or 7 years old. I wasn't that old.
How did you feel when it started?
It was a bit scary. But I was mostly sad because I couldnt play outside and there was nothing to do in my house.
Were any of your family memebers with you in the flood besides parents?
Yes all of my 9 siblings and my grandpa. 4 brothers and 5 sisters.
Question: Were your parents really stressed about the flood, and why?
Yes mostly because we didnt have any running water in our house at all! That stressed me out a lot to.
Were you and your family members anything but scared, if so what were they feeling?
Well my brothers and most of my sisters were excited. Mostly because they
had nothing like the flood ever happen to them before. They just sat by the window watching the rain 24/7 it seemed like.
Was there a specific reason the flood happened and what?
Nothing except lots and lots and lots of rain.
How high did the flood get?
Hard to remember but my parents told me something about over 4 feet or something.
How long did it rain?
3 days and 2 nights....STRAIGHT!
What date did the flood happen?
August 2nd 1973. Also my sisters birthday
Was there any other experience you had during the flood?
One time my basement overflowed and my 80 year old grandpa had to take a shovel and dig a trench in our basement to keep the water from overflowing.
Were you releived when the flood was over?
Yes. For many reasons. 1 is I could go outside and play again. 2 is I didnt have to sit in the house all day. 3 is I could actually wash my hands again.
What did you do when the flood was over?
When the water level shrunk to a 2 inch we all went outside and collected golfballs. A mini golf course is right uphill from our house so when the flood came the golfballs went down the hill to our neighbor hood.
So we can say as an ending that there was high water levels very big stress on families and overflowing basements wasnt very fun. Not to mention no running water at all! Flooded days equal bad days if you ask anyone who was in that flood.

Blackout ceremony
There were once four friends named Phil Chuck bill and Jojo. Suddenly Jojo fainted! The other 3 friends ran to Jojo. It turned out to be just a prank. That is when they all got the idea that everyday on August 25th that they would keep playing the prank. very soon they decided to spread it to the world. They messaged the president and he loved the idea. He put in newspapers and sometimes on the news. Sadly though it started out very very very small. 1 out of 100 people even knew what it was. so the four guys and the president came up with an idea. So when the president was giving his normal boring speech he suddenly blacked out. While the body guards with cool sunglasses ran after him they realized it was all just a joke! After that it seemed like the world was in a riot! So everybody started doing it. And so that is how play dead like an opossum holiday began.

2nd day to lost island!
It was a damp misty morning. No birds chirping or cars speeding. But today was supposed to be a joyous day. For I was going to Lost Island. Lost island is a water park 2 hours and 30 minutes from my house. So i was going there for the second time! The plan was simple I was going to the place with me, my mom, my dad, my uncle John, and my cousin Jenny. The first time i was there was a huge success! we had tons of fun. Like one time two lifeguards wrestled each other into a tubing slide! I was hoping for some awesome stuff to happen like that to this time. But of course I was horribly horribly horribly wrong. So we were driving in my dads grey car when it started raining. Now i know what your thinking oh boohoo its just a little rain hows it going to ruin your fun. Well just keep reading and ill tell you. We drove about 20 minutes from our house when it started pouring! And I mean huge thundering rain drops were pounding on the ground like it was drums. The wind started howling and the trees started shaking and shivering like they were doing a disco dance. Eventually we had to take shelter behind a big building with a red brick roof called Casey's. Well we were listening to the news in the car when we heard the ear pericing tornado siren. I usually don't get freaked out by tornadoes unless their heading straight towards me so I wasn't really that worried. Like I said we were in the car but now it started pouring and not just rain but hail. Pretty darn big ones to about the size of a half paper crumbled up. Eventually the storm passed by and my mom wanted to go home. But my Uncle John really wanted to go and said some scientific stuff. Well anyway short version we kept driving. Yeah so it was a long ride but hey you'd think it would be worth it. Yeah well....no. OK now we made it, made it to Lost Island that is. But then when we got in the water we'd known we'd made a big mistake. The water was freezing! It was so cold it could have been fit for a penguin. But we still went we could survive the cold! We started to go on two tubing slides called jade and emerald adventure. They are two green twisty turquoise slides that are two of my favorites. Oh no those weren't all the slides though and we all went on the bright as sun huge ginormous yellow slide! We waited in line for about 30 minutes when a huge menacing black cloud came. So sadly we had to get down. We ran for shelter as the big look like it would've been in an end of the world movie dark menacing cloud came. We took shelter under one of the tiki with straw roofs. huts so after 20 minutes we got back in. You'll hear and feel these things when you go on it. Swish, swoosh, scream, splash. So I had a quite a big of fun and I think everyone else did to. We rode the other twin slides that I completely forgot the names of but I remember that they are pink and purple. Those were extremely fun but John wasn't satisfied. He wanted to go on Lost Soul Falls. Last time I went here I was the first to go on it but with the weather and all I didn't really feel like it. So when he went on it and came down we all started to go on the racing slide! It was a dark red and dark purple slide that was made for racing. You go on a blue pad and slide on your stomach. Its a dark tunnel in the beginning and you go out of the tunnel and go down some lumpy stairs they'll tell you what your time is. The next slide was kiwi Journey. That was one of my favorite slides to. You are inside the tunnel for a lot of the time but then you go out and then in an then out and then in and then you get out and splash into the water. Well ill go by saying we rode some of the same slides again and it was fun but I was freezing. I really wanted to go home because it was cold windy and really I preferred a heated house or car any day. So we eventually left and yes it got worse from there by a lot. We were in the car enjoying some delicious snacks we brought and drunk thirstily as the cool drinks ran down our throats. That's when we started driving. Again it started raining and get this, the first storm was actually the easy one we were facing the second wave and the harder one right now! Sure enough it was true. The rain started thumping and the wind started moaning the trees were shattered and flying everywhere. Again we had to go take shelter but that shelter didn't last very long especially since there was a tree right next to us. Now after a long time we finally made it home on our way though we saw broken trees and broken houses and even a few dead cows. So I got home and I'm not saying you shouldn't go to Lost Island. I'm just saying don't go to a water park on a stormy day.
