Baseball or School

"Johnny time to come in for dinner'' Johnny's mom yelled.

"One more hit" Johnny yelled back. "CRACK" the sound of the ball hitting the bat.

"Hey Jake want to hang out after school?"

Those two scenes are from baseball and school which you hear everyday. Baseball and school are a lot alike if you think very hard. one similarity is you are with your friends. Secondly you are learning something. Last but not least you are always thinking a step ahead like in baseball when your in the field you always have to think "If the ball is hit to me what am I gonna do with it? As with school your always thinking ahead by if you have a project what am I gonna do and when am I gonna do it. They also have some differences one is baseball is active and school is not. Secondly in school you wear clothes and in baseball you wear a uniform. Last but not least baseball is fun and school is boring.

Mr. Snail

Mr. Snail slithered out to get his mail

But he stumbled across a dog's furry tail.

The dog’s tail was full of wiggly lice

Which Mr. Snail mistook for white rice.

So he called his best pal, Mr. Ant

Who came to dine with Mr. Snail and brought a side of eggplant.

Terror in Room 302

"I'm so fired up!" I thought.

"Today is an early out," my mom said.

I went to school as any other day but at the end of the day terror happened! We were going to lunch I was holding the door when I noticed that I forgot my lunch card so I went to go grab it I was still holding the door when my fingers got caught in the hinge side of the door.

"Open the door," I said weakly.

After 5 seconds Bo opened the door. I was bleeding non-stop and my nails were out of my nail bed and blood was gushing out.

"Lets take you to the nurse," Mrs. Umphress said frightened.

"What happened?" questioned the nurse. I couldn't speak. I was in too much pain.

"He slammed his fingers in the door," Bo said loudly.

"Lets call your parents," the nurse said.

"They are out out of town." I said." My grandparents are watching me." I said

"Do you know your grandparents number?" questioned the nurse." Yes." I said.

When my grampa arrived to pick me up we headed to the hospital. When we got there I got X-rays to see if my fingers were broken and it turned out I broke my pinky, ring and middle fingers.

Then a couple minutes later the Doctor came in and asked "What happened here?"

"I slammed my fingers in the door," I replied.

After 1 hour of putting my nails back in the nail bed, I got stitches. I was relieved that I didn't lose my fingers that day. I have also learned to watch were my fingers are as I pass through the doorway.

Sports v.s. Romance

I ask you which of these movies is better to see The Blind Side or New Moon? My opinion is The Blind Side. It is a true story about Michael Oher from the Baltimore Ravens. It is a sad and touching story dealing with his life on the streets. I also prefer The Blind Side because it is about football. If I didn't choose The Blind Side I would have to choose New Moon because it has werewolves and vampires. It also has action and romance drama. I didn't choose New Moon because the genre is romance.In my opinion The Blind Side is better movie because it is a true story about a professional football player that overcame sadness.Which one to you pick?

The Day the World Changed

The day the world changed was on September 11th 2001. When two planes crashed into the Twin Towers and another tried to crash into the Pentagon. Resulting in 2,985 people dying.

Where were you on September 11th?

I was in downtown Washington D.C.

What do you think of 9/11?

I think it was a horrible tragedy.

How did it affect you?/Were you planning on flying that day?

I was supposed to fly home that day but they canceled all flights so I had to drive home.

What was it like driving instead of flying?

Long roads, it was very crowded.

What did you do with the rental car?

I kept the car and then returned it to the Kansas City airport.

What were you concerned about?

My family and other planes crashing into buildings.

Did you know anyone in the pentagon?

Yes, I had dinner with a guy from the CIA on Sunday night.

Did you know anyone that was on a plane that day?

No

Were you in any danger?

I thought because I was on the 10th floor of the building I was in that another plane could crash into us.

What was your first reaction?

I tried to call Tarra (my mom) to let her know I was ok, but I couldn't because so many cell phones were being used.

What were everyone else's reactions?

It was very chaotic. Everyone was really scared and rambunctious.

How long did it take you to get home?

It took us 18 hours for the whole trip.The first day we spent 9 hours driving to Akron, Ohio and then spent the night. Then the next day we drove 9 hours home.

How long did it take you to get out of D.C?

It took us 2 hours to get out of D.C.

OOPS!

One day Zach was at a party and someone pushed him and flung his drink and landed on a kid next to him it. He probably felt wet and smelt bad to. I could see all the pop on him it looked horrible.So that's when Zach and his friends made "International act like you have muscle spasm day" Began June 21 2009. Even teachers, parents, mayors and presidents have to celebrate this day!

The Waukee Ankney game

"TOUCHDOWN WARRIORS!" As the announcer says. As the crowd goes wild with ten seconds remaining. As they kick off the time dropped down to no seconds it has gone into overtime! Ankney gets ball first and they score so we get ball at the 20 yard line. So then when we get the ball i was  drinking my pop and they and the person next to me jumped up spilled on me and I smelled like Sprite. So it went in to double overtime. As I walked over to the concession stands I could all the amazing foods like pizza popcorn. When I was at the bleachers everyone started jumping up and down and I noticed the T.V man was there and everyone was yelling like when some one notices there is a bug on their food. At the beginning of the second overtime Waukee got the ball first and they missed a field goal from 20 yards away. Now it is Ankneys ball they tried for a touchdown but failed they are 40 yards away 4th down and go field goal and the kick is...'GOOD THE ANKNEY HAWKS WIN!' As I walk out I thought they should have made that field goal.
