Do you like video gorts?

Do you like video gorts? If your wondering what video gorts is it's a mixture between sports and video games. Now do you understand what that is? I love doing these to things. Since I love them so much I wanted to compare them.

A similarity of sports and video games is that both of them can be easy and both of them can be hard. Another similarity is that you can play sports with both of them. They have sports video games. My favorite sports video games are the EA sports. One more similarity is that there are many choices on playing or doing these two things.

When there are similarities, there are differences. Its real life when it comes to sports but in video games it is realistic but not real. In video games you have to use a controller,but when you play sports you don't use a controller. One more difference is that in video games you don't win awards and in sports you actually do win awards.

Those are a little bit of similarities and differences of sports and video games.

The Accident

On a Friday evening I was having football practice. Everyone was pumped up for the game tomorrow. We were going to play one of the most brutal teams in the league.

''You guys ready for the game tomorrow''! our coach screamed while we were in a huddle.

Everyone screamed ''Yeah''! I was ready for sure. I wanted to score a touchdown so bad.

The next morning I had to get up at 6 a.m. I wasn't happy about that. The game was on our home field. We did some warm ups , just to get ourselves going. Then it was time to play. My team was on defense so I wasn't on the field. On the third play they scored a 70 yard touchdown. Now it was our turn. I am a running back so I like to score touchdowns and get all of the glory. I could feel the adrenaline going as we walked onto the field. We all huddled up and called the play.

The quarterback hiked the ball and handed it to me. I felt so nervous as I ran the ball through the line. I had only gotten about 3 yards. We huddled up again to call the second play. The quarterback hiked the ball and threw a bullet to the receiver. He caught it and we had gotten a first down. Everyone cheered. Now it was my turn to get a first down and possibly get a touchdown. The quarterback hiked the ball and gave it to me. I plowed through the linemen and found a hole to go through. I was flying by defenders. Then I saw a defender out of the corner of my eye. then everything went black.

I woke up in the hostpital. There my mom told me to lay back down and go to sleep. I didn't want to.

''Whats going on''? I asked.

'' The doctor has told us that you have gotten a minor concusion''. I was so scared after she told me this.

'' What am I going to do now''? I thought to myself.

The next few practices I had to sit out. I hated it. Atleast I didn't have to do the sprints.

1 year later

'' I cant believe you have the courage to run the ball after what happend last year''. said Jacob( a

kid on my team).

''It feels great to step back onto this field. Lets go kick some butt''!

The Best in Baseball

Here's the pitch, swing. It's going, going, gone! Homerun! There have been lots of opinions on who the best is in the MLB but there is only one team that I think of. Which team do you think of?
In my opinion I think the Yankees are the best in the MLB. A few reasons are: The Yankees have won 27 world series when other teams in the MLB have only won about 12. Also. the Yankees have won the most recent world series. They beat the Phillies, the team that won last year. Another reason is, the Yankees almost always go to the playoffs. I can't think of a time when they haven't.
Some people will disagree with me and I can respect that. Some reasons to backup that opinion is: The Yankees didn't win all of their games. They lost some games against the Phillies in their series. another reason is, the Yankees haven't won the world series in almost 12 years. They won in 1998. One more reason is, the Yankees lose all of the time against a bunch of different teams. They lose to the Red Sox all of the time.
Lots of people think that other teams in the MLB are the best, but when I think of the best, I think of the Yankees.

The Day That Made Everyone's Lives Harder

Introduction: This was the day that made everything harder. This was the ''93'' flood. It rained for a very long time and eventually it started to flood.



What was your reaction when you heard there was a flood?
I was really nervous and I didn't know what to do. I was freaked out.

What do you think the worst part of the flood was?
The worst part was not having running water. We had to take showers in the rain, it was awful.

What do you think the scariest part of the flood was?
The scariest part was all of the damage that happened to the city.

What did you do when the power went out?
We had to use way more candles. We were running out.

What do you think it would have been like if it rained even more?
It would have made things even harder. I don't know how we could have held up.

Do you think in the future there could be another flood and why?
There could be because natural disasters happen all the time.

What did you do when the flood ended?
We had to clean up an get things back to normal. we were glad it was over.

Do you have anything else to say about the flood?
I hope another one like that never happens again.

How Embarrasement Turned Into An International Holiday

Tanner was late for his class an he needed to hurry. He sprinted like there was no tomorrow. The night before he dyed his hair and it didn't turn out very well. His hair wa covered in spots. He didn't like his hair-do so he put a hat on. While he was sprinting his hat fell off and everyone saw him. He was so embarrased. It stunk because today was his birthday(November 21) and he was embarrased to death. Thats when one of his friends got an idea.So his friend said that everytime it was November 21 they would sprint everywhereinstead ofwalking. Thats when Internatioal Sprint like A Cheeta Day was born.

Fun On A Jet-ski

Got to get my swim trunks on because I'm going on a jet-ski. I hope me and my brother have tons of fun. Suddenly I feel kind of nervous because I don't know what its going to be like. Then we get on and take off. Going fast as lightning we cold barely stay on. We were going really fast. While on the jet-ski I could smell the lake water. It smelled as bad as my brothers feet. I also noticed my brother screaming loudly I wanted him to stop. We were going so fast the water came into my mouth. I had to spit it out because it tasted as bad as guacamole. Then I got to drive. I got it up to 50mph. I was going crazy, doing donuts and getting wet. After that we finally got off the jet-ski. I stunk so bad from the water I had to take a shower.
