Soccer vs Soccer

My p.e. teacher says soccer is a dumb sport. So do a lot of people in the U.S.A. But when you travel around the world a lot of people love it. You always here soccer is a dumb sport because you ask people in the U.S.A. and it's not popular here.

Soccer in the U.S.A. is different from the world because U.S.A. doesn't like using there hands. The U.S.A. doesn't get huge soccer stars like the world gets. Soccer around the world the team's are good and not the U.S.A.

They are the same because they get fan's to support there teams. They both have the rules and they both play 11 vs 11. The fields are the same size about the size of a football field with end zone's. They both have tournaments and play in the World Cup.

You would think soccer in the U.S.A. is like soccer around the world. Now you know soccer is different and the #1 sport around the earth.

Trip To Omaha

About a year ago my mom and my dad asked me if I wanted to go to a soccer camp.

''It's 5 days 4 nights.'' my mom said.

''Sure'' I said.

They said, ''That two people on my soccer team were going Brady and Jacob.

My dad said ''Jacob was going to be my roommate. I was so excited.

My dad was driving me up to Creighton soccer camp. We pulled into my room it was very dumpy. It had 2 beds, a little desk, a sink, and a dresser. I had to bring a lot of my own stuff the camp made me a list. Then my roommate Jacob showed up. We found Brady and went to the auditorium. They assigned you a team we were all on Brazil. The first day was meeting the team. The soccer field was about a mile away so about 3 times a day we had to walk there and back. Everyday we would wake up at 6:30 eat breakfast and go to the auditorium. We would meet up with are team and go to the fields. We would eat lunch about 12:30 and dinner about 6:00.
Everyday was like that. The only thing different was about every other day we would watch soccer video for about an hour or so. The 3rd day we tested how high you could jump, how fast you are, how fast dribbling you are , how hard you could kick and more.
The last day was the best we scrimmaged and did foot skills. We played a 5v5 tournament and my team won. Over all Creighton was a fun time. I can't wait for next year.

The Best Sport

Most people think soccer is a dumb sport. I have 3 reasons why I think it's not. Also 3 reasons why you might think it is dumb. I hope I you will change your mind at the end of my story.

3 reasons why I think soccer is the best is soccer is the best sport in the world. It's very popular in Europe, Asia, and Africa. It's fun to use your feet. Most sports don't let you but soccer is different. It's hard work but worth it. You have to condition a lot but during games it's a lot of fun. That's why I like soccer

3 reasons you might think it's stupid. You might think using your feet is the dumbest thing ever invented into a sport. Everyone in U.S.A loves football. Everybody thinks it's the best sport in the world. I like football but U.S.A is the only country that plays it pretty much. You might think that it's not worth the practices and time.

Over all I think soccer is the best sport ever made. I hope I convinced you to. So if try to play soccer again don't quit after the first practice. Play a few years and get better and I bet you like it a lot.

The Horrible Day

9/11

9/11 was a day when 2 planes crashed into the Twin Towers. One plane ran into the Pentagon. One plane missed the White House. It didn't take long for us to realize it was an accident. It was a horrible day that the world will never forget.

When did you first hear about 9/11.

"I was in my car going to Chicago. I was listening to my radio and I herd a plane hit a tower."

What were you feeling after the 4 planes crashed.

"I was scared. I thought that they could have put bombs in city's. No one knew what was going to happen next."

Did you feel like you were safe where you were and why.

"I thought I was safe because I didn't think they would bomb Iowa."

Did you end up watching it on t.v.

"Yes I pulled off the highway to a Hy-vee. I knew that the Hy-vee had a t.v.There were about 50 people watching it there also."

What did you remember the most.

"I remember on the radio I was listening to sports. It said to switch to a news channel. I did and they were saying all planes most land because of the plane crashes."

What would you have done if you were on one of the planes.

"I would have done what the people did on the White House plane. I would try to land it but at least dodge the thing they were trying to hit."

What was it like the day after 9/11.

"It felt like a dream like it never happened. I was just so shocked."

After I interviewed my dad. I always think of 9/11 as one of the worst day's ever. Everyone is still recovering from the horrible day. I hope it will never happen again.

WDMSC soccer in Omaha

I arrived in Omaha at around 7:00 am. Our first game was in about an hour against an Omaha team. I went over to my team and we went to the fields. We started the game. We heard the whistle and started the game. The Omaha team scored about 4 in the first half. After half time we ran on the field. The whistle started we did a little better but still got beat 10-2. The whistle blew in my ear. The other team parents screamed. That was the end of the game. It was a bad way to start a tournament. We lost very bad but we had time to rest. The next game was in about 2-3 hours. We drove around Omaha until we had are next game. We came to the fields about 1 an 30 min later. We started the game. This team wasn't ranked as good as the other team so felt more confident. We played hard the first half they came out on top. So we got ready for the second half. The whistle blew we were hanging with them this half. From the first half we still did a little better than the first game. I had to come back to Iowa for a football scrimmages. We won both of are scrimmages and I went home. I woke up the next morning and went to Omaha. We played a very good team they were huge compared to us. The first half we scored about 3 goals. We played pretty good but still got Beat. That was the end of the tournament we didn't advance. We still have a tournament next weak hope we win.
