Brother vs Brother

In this essay I will be explaining the differences and similarities of my 2 little Brothers Brock and Carson.
Brock is in 1st grade and is 7 years old. He has brown hair. He likes to play hockey and football. His favorite food is butter noodles and his hair goes down to his shoulders.
Carson is in 4th grade and is 10 years old. He has blond short hair. He likes swimming and his favorite food is little Smokies.
Some similarities are that they both play baseball. They both have green eyes. They both like to play outside, play video games, watch T.V., play computer games, and play with toys when it’s raining.
So that’s the story of my 2 little Brothers.

Moving

My name is Jake Spencer. I just moved to Cheyenne, Wyoming from New York City, New York. I think Cheyenne is a boring compared to New York City. I think the people here are way too nice. My house is right next to the Game Stop store but they mostly just have used games. Also, my birthday is next week so I hope my parents get me a PS3 because that is just about the only game system that Game Stop has good games for.

One day when I woke up and headed to school on the bus, a bully named Bob sat right next to me and kept hitting me! "STOP!", I yelled. After school, I had track practice until 4:15 p.m. Then when I got home I had hockey, and at my hockey game we won 6-4 against the best team in the league. Since we beat the best team, we were able to play in the championship game on Thursday night. At the game, my younger brother Carson fell on a chair and split his head open. He had to have six stitches and have his skin glued. My Dad had to leave the game early and our neighbor Matt had to take the rest of my family home after the game. After that I went to sleep because I was very tired from such a long day. My day started with a bully named Bob and ended with a victory at hockey. I guess Cheyenne, Wyoming isn't so bad after all!

The Winners Of The 2010 Super Bowl

It is February 7th, 2010 at Dolphin Stadium in Miami, Florida and over 75,000 football fans have come to watch the greatest game on Earth…Super Bowl XLIV. The Minnesota Vikings have taken the field with the leadership of one of the greatest quarterbacks in the NFL, Brett Favre who is no stranger to the Super Bowl tension. The National Anthem has been performed, fireworks have blasted and the Blue Angels have completed the fly by. It’s game time!

The Vikings are going to win the Super Bowl of 2010!

Here are some reasons why I think the Vikings are going to win the XLIV (2010) Super Bowl.

One, they are ranked #1 in the Nation for most sacks. This defense will shut down any team any day. The quarterback will be on his back the second he gets the ball. They are not called the Purple Peaple Eaters for nothing!

Two, the Vikings have Adrian Peterson as their running back. He is ranked #4 in the Nation. When Adrian Peterson gets the ball you don’t want to blink as he’ll be spiking the football in the end zone for a touchdown before the defense even knew what hit them. If the defense does get in his way, they are going to get punished. Adrian Peterson is one of the hardest hitting running backs of all time. He won’t run around you, he’ll run through you.

Three, the Vikings are lead by Brett Favre who is ranked #3 in the Nation. This 40 year old veteran has seen it all. He’s been in numerous playoffs, Super Bowls, and leads the league in numerous statistics for all time. He came out of retirement and has never looked better. He is going to have his best season yet!

Fourth, the Vikings team has the total package. The Vikings are ranked #3 in the Nation for most touchdowns and that is what wins games. When you score the most touchdowns, you’re going to win the game. The Vikings are ranked #8 for total yards. Being in the top ten in yards and scoring in the top for most touchdowns just means that they get better field position than other teams. The Vikings are ranked #4 in
Rushing and #5 in scoring. When you add it all up you get a simple answer to the question. Who will win Super Bowl XLIV? The Vikings!

Now some might think that the Cardinals, Saints, Ravens, Colts, Cowboys, Jets or Chargers will win the Super Bowl. After all, when you look at the power rankings, the Vikings are #3 behind the Chargers at #2 and the Colts at #1. Both the Chargers and the Colts have a 1 or 2 game better record and have been playing great football. The Chargers and the Colts are no strangers to the playoffs or the Super Bowl.

What the Chargers and Colts and all the rest in line don’t have is Brett Favre and the total package of the Minnesota Vikings. This is probably Brett Favre’s last chance to win a Super Bowl and with his passion for the game, it will be an unstoppable force to battle.

As the 75,000 fans cheer with excitement, Brett Favre is jumping up and down with his teammates as the final seconds countdown to Super Bowl XLIV. The Vikings have won and Brett Favre just performed the game of his life breaking all quarterback records in the history of the Super Bowl. The Vikings Win! The Vikings Win! This game will go down in history as the best Super Bowl ever!

09-11-01 A Tragedy Remembered

9-11 is the day the World Trade Center Twin Towers fell. In this interview I will be interviewing my Dad Damon Butler about the 9-11 tragedy. The 9-11 tragedy is a sad historical event that everyone will always remember. On this day four commercial passenger jet airliners were hijacked by 19 Al-Waeda terrorists and two were crashed into the Twin Towers. A third plane crashed into the Pentagon and the fourth plane crashed into a field in Pennsylvania. I was only 3 years old when this happened but always see information on it when the date September 11th happens. Almost 3,000 people died that day.

The following is an interview with Damon Butler on his memory of the 9-11 Tragedy:

Question: Where were you when you first found out about the 9-11 attacks?

D.B.: At home getting ready for work. My Wife Nicole called me and told me to turn on the TV. She said that planes were crashing into buildings in New York City.

Question: What was your first reaction when you saw what was happening on TV?

D.B.: Confusion. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. I remember the newscaster saying that a plane hit one of the Twin Towers. Then they showed the building. Minutes later, another plane hit the other Twin Tower. I thought, what are the odds? It must be terrorists. It was the craziest thing I’d ever seen. So many emotions.

Question: What happened next?

D.B.: They kept reporting on the tragedy, showing the burning towers. Then other reports came in on other planes being off course. A report came on that another plane hit the Pentagon. At around that time, the next thing I saw was footage of people running away from the Towers, people falling from the windows, rescue workers running to the Towers. Then the unthinkable happened. One of the Towers collapsed. It was like holding your breath. Watching with silence as no one could even talk or think knowing that people were still in that building. Then the second Tower collapsed.

Question: After you saw all of this, what were you thinking?

D.B.: Anger. I remember thinking, how dare someone attack us right here in the United States. I knew it had to be a terrorist attack. Then safety and protection. I remember thinking about my Wife, Children, and Co-Workers. I called everybody I could. The crazy thing is that I had some of my staff going to Chicago for training and I called them and told them to turn around and come back to the Quad Cities. They had no idea what had happened. I’ll be honest. As a former Officer in the United States Army, I wanted justice and had many emotions running through me.

Question: How did things change after 9-11?

D.B.: It will never be the same for me personally. Security at airports got extremely tough. I don’t think anyone was comfortable flying. So many things changed. So many things. The world as we knew it changed forever after that day.

The date 9-11 means so much too so many people. It’s tough to imagine what it was like when the attacks happened back in 2001. Anger, sadness, frustration, fear, revenge...hopefully I’ll never have to experience a tragedy like 9-11.

My Phone

So it was the day of my birthday and my parents are letting me pick a new phone. My first choice was the razor which was like any normal phone but instead it was really skinny and it had a camera on the outside. Then I saw the Envy Two. It flips open on the inside and has a full keyboard. On the outside it had a small screen and half keyboard. Then finally i saw my number one choice, it was the VOYAGER!!! It was the perfect phone, it tasted like plastic, it smelled like plastic, it looked beast it sounded like a beeb-beeb-beeb when i touched the screen, and it felt warm and awesome. But most of all it flipped open sideways and on the outside it had a touch screen!!!
